OUT OF THE STARTING GATE

I joined a weight loss program! Nu-Look. It is a program that has one on one counseling to teach you how to eat right and help keep you motivated. It also includes a exercise program. I choice this program because I felt like it was the program that would help me change my lifestyle so I could keep the weight off once I lost it. I'm excited and hopeful that I finally have discovered a program that I can be successful at. I have always tried Weight Watchers because it was a healthy program and taught you good habits. However, I would have trouble loosing the weight because I needed more one on one help. So I will keep you posted how I do with this program. I know that coming out of the starting gate that I will have many challenges to meet. I know that It will not be easy, I know it will be a long journey. But I'm ready to meet the challenges. I'm ready for the journey. I'm willing to work hard for my goals.. So with that being said, I'm off for a walk and some more water!!!

Once Fat Always Fat

So why do we become fat? When you eat more calories then your body needs for fuel, the body stores the reserve as fat. Fat is stored in the fat cells. We are born with fats cells that expand like a balloon as the fat is stored. We may not have control over how many fat cells we are born with, but you do have control over the major factors that determine how much fat is stored. Our lifestyle, exercise, nutrition and mental attitude determine how lean or fat we become. Genetics is not an excuse. The past is not an excuse. Your present condition is not an excuse. You can either make excuses or get results but you can't do both! Follow me on my blog as we discover that once fat is not always fat!

Water is vital for your body to function properly. It protects and cushion vital organs, Water aids in waste removal, It helps to regulated body temperature. It is needed to convert food into energy, So whatever program you choice to help you loose weight, remember water will only enhance getting the weight off.

I think I need Help!

I went weight loss shopping today! I figure I'm going to need some extra help. I like the weight watcher program but feel I need some extra one on one help. Consult today with with the Weight Shop. A physician directed program. I would love some input if anyone has used this program. I am also looking in to NuLook weight loss center. I found a wonderful website while searching blogs for help-- BellyFatAnswers.com My goal is to have a plan by the end of the week. (I will have some time off between jobs to start my plan of action) In the mean time, I have been applying some simple tips. Eating cheerios for breakfast, switching to skim milk, drinking water, and walking. Anyways it is a start. And you have to start somewhere.

Healthy Living

Life is busy and some times that makes it harder to live healthy. The biggest health tip we have all heard, is to eat right and exercise. Well living healthy takes time and effort! It takes motivation! So where do we begin? Ask yourself first, what will motivate you. Is it to look better, feel better, or is it to lower those high numbers (sugar or cholesterol). Define your reason and begin a plan. Then stick to it! In our busy lives it is easy to eat the food that is convenient. But by just not eating at fast food restaurants you will see a difference in the way you clothes fit. Another way to shed the pounds is to stop eating the processed food. It only takes a little extra effort to make recipes from individual ingredients. And of course we have all been told to eat our fruits and vegetables. Journal what you eat to keep track of what you are eating and how much. And if you have trouble eating right on your own, there are organizations out there to help. One that comes to mind is weight watchers. Then comes the exercise! This is just as important as what we eat. Just 30 minutes a day will improve you health both physically and mentally. It can be done in two 15 minute sessions if you are having trouble finding the time. Some of the best exercise is walking but there are many good programs out there. Just find one that you will enjoy so you can stick with it. Follow me on my journey to a healthier lifestyle and maybe we can motivate one another.

Let the Journey begin!

It is my goal to blog my day to day attempt to stay on track and eat healthy. And hopefully loose some weight in the mean time. It is my hope that journaling on my blog will help keep me on track. I welcome any support that I can get! Loosing weight is such a challenge for me! Any maybe too I will inspire someone who has as much trouble as me loosing weight. I'm still learning about blogging but hang in there with me. Let the journey begin!
